Osmangazi Belediyesi is a Turkish football club located in Bursa. They play their home matches at Bursa Atatürk Stadium.
On 19 September 1965, Osmangazi Belediyespor were officially founded after " Osmangazi İmam Hatip Lisesi" (an NGO consisting of Osmangazi high-school students) were encouraged to form a team by Adalet Menses, who was a high-school teacher of that era. 16 year old high-school student Necmettin Yıldırım assumed presidency of the club and established the teams logo. With the consent of the students and teachers of the school, they established Osmgangazi Belediyespor with the condition that the club be removed from the football league system after they finish their first season. The club mainly won and played football games with teams in their town district whereas it was almost impossible to go to other districts for several decades. The club accomplished many reputable success with football in the last decade of 1970s which gained character for the district of Osmangazi. However, after the mayor, Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz allowed the club to get promoted and Osmangazit easily achieved promotion to Third League which took place in 1980, despite the fact that the club couldn't obtain any success and its facilities weren't in a good shape, they started to lose many of its players. In the end of 1980s, when the first lower division leagues were managed by Provincial Culture Counsels and district third-league by Provisional Representative of Prefecture, Osmangazi Belediyespor was relegated to third group with financial difficulties and thus being faced with a hard time. Finally, they were relegated altogether to the 4th group of the district Division and were out of picture from professional leagues.
Ottomangazi Belediyespor withdrew from the Bursaspor organization and started competing under its own organization. The green color that has always been implemented in other teams was also a renowned color of Ottomangazi at that times and the revision of the club took place.
After some period of time, the names of the ex-players who have ‘bright’ careers in Bursa were accompanying Osmangazi Belediyespor and gave great contribution to the club. One of the reasons why people got together in Istanbul after President (Abdulkadir Kara.) left is the fact that now they are making a good their careers in Istanbul. Ottomangazi Belediyespor managed to return into Third League in 2008.
Members of the club have adopted the modern techniques and started to make their results successful in order to become competitive. The club is well in its football matches in the 2nd group of 3rd league.
Finally the biggest achievement in the league history of
was reached by winning the promotion to Division One Category B with a play-off series against İnegölspor in 2012–13 season.
On 13 May 2014, Osmangazi Belediyespor officially became a member of MHP (MHP) and continued to play in the 2014–
