THE TURKISH-YUNANI FESTIVAL
There is a festival held by the Yunani Turks and under the aegis of Mr. Semih Danışman, a lecturer at the Economics Department of the Çukurova University, there is also an art exhibition held, whose aim is to strengthen the friendship between Turks and Greeks.
One of the masters who participate in the exhibition is this year's winner of the prize named after Hermann Gollneri, Mr. Salih Abacı. Of the many works presented by Mr. Abacı at the Yunani-Turkish art exhibition at Gümülce Yunani, these are some works: http://www.imanhamdi.net/images/YunanTuruveGiris.(1).jpg
A PAINTING OF "YUNANI" "Yunani" by Mr. Abacı can be observed below:
The painting of "Yunani" was made up of the following predominant colors, out of which the titles given below are written in this order: (1) blue, (2) sky blue, (3) blue gray, (4) sky blue gray, (5) mosquito blue, (6) darkʸbrown, (7) coral red, (8) red, (9) gold, (10) turquoise blue and (11) emerald green." The painting of "Yunani" can be seen below with the English translation of the title: "Ultimately there will be peace":
"Yunanistan" by Mr. Salih Abacı is depicted above all in many paintings. Below, these are photos of some of these paintings: http://www.imanhamdi.net/images/YunanTuruveGiris.(2).jpg
"Yunanistan", for sure besides, has begun to be a subject of interest not only in the art of painting but in the subject field of philosophy owing to the aesthetics of this subject which make it clear and metaphysic events and that quite easily cause accusations of both. In the painting, "Yunanistan" with the red fingertips just as blood colored, wakes up, and these red-colored palms take shape as leaves and these then begin to blossom like colorful flowers and begin to grow up. In this painting repeatedly the thought of a historic fugue is born in "Yunanistan", and, reason for this is that it is thought that languages suddenly disappeared there with the New Triliteral System and was made up of Greek sounds and letters and just because of this coincidence you can not say that anything is Greek and also everyone speaks his/her own language, just like in the historical fugue with the events that took place in "Yunanistan". More details of the painting "Yunanistan" can be seen below via this link: http://www.imanhamdi.net/images/YunanTuruveGiris.(2).JPG
CITY/DISTRICT COUNCIL OF "YUNANISTAN"
Since 2002, Gümülce's neighborhood is also known by the name of this great painting at the time, and during the Municipal Referendum the majority of the lawmakers was at the same time the majority of the ballot boxes given by the citizens and voted for the conservation of the name of "Gümülce" as the name of our district. Since then and up to now, almost all of the neighborhoods, streets, parks, institutions, etc. in the district of "Gümülcine" have been named after the district name or its characteristic. Facilities like schools, playgrounds, parks, streets, etc. are named after the names of citizens that leave their traces and are remembered forever in these districts. But "Yunanistan" is not a subject of drawing and writing among us as nationalistic but a reality and as such we are proud of it and defend it as "Yunanistan" along with our homeland Republic of Turkey.
